Series Two: 
Integrated Sensorimotor Rehabilitation

Overview of Series Two:

For Physios working in predominantly chronic pain services

Part A:
​Basic - Practical

(2-day course. $595 incl GST)
Subjective assessment
  • Questionnaires and interpretation – focus on sensory hypersensitivity and Defensive High Anxious personality types
  • Address fear avoidance, multiple Rx seeking and anxiety
  • Sleep, food, stress, exercise, CNS history
Physical Assessment
  • Postural awareness
  • Balance
  • Supine sensory feedback & tactility Midline crossing
  • Moro, ATNR, Abdo and Spinal Galant primitive reflexes.
Subjective Advisory
  • Pain neuroscience education (‘practice explaining it’ workshops)
  • Drug use
  • Advice - Sleep, food, stress, exercise, breathing
Physical Rehab
  • Postural awareness – sitting neutral, pelvic tilts, scapula, postural sway
  • Balance – belt, foot stim
  • Midline crossing ex’s
  • Moro, ATNR, Abdo and Spinal Galant reflex inhibition exercises
Part B
​Advanced - Practical

(2-day course. $595 incl GST)
Subjective Assessment
  • Questionnaires and interpretation – focus on adding in Low Registration & Repressor personality types
  • Sensory hypo-sensitivity and anxiety
  • Repressors boom and bust, A-types (people-pleasing and perfectionists)
  • Sleep, food (AIP diet etc), stressors differ to a Low Reg person, exercise, CNS history (learning differences, concussion, trauma etc.)
Physical Assessment
  • Postural awareness during key functional movements incl. balance tasks with distractions
  • Mirror testing
  • Oculomotor function
  • Remaining primitive reflexes
Advisory rehab
  • Questionnaires and interpretation – how to advise Low Registration & Repressor personality types
    • Sensory hypo-sensitivity and anxiety
    • Repressors boom and bust, education and pacing
    • CNS pain generation under sensory hypo-sensitivity threat model.
Physical Assessment
  • Postural awareness during key functional movements incl. balance tasks with distractions
  • Mirror testing
  • Oculomotor function
  • Remaining primitive reflexes
