Courses: Primitive Reflex & Sensorimotor Training for Recurrent Injuries & Chronic Pain

I am very pleased with my personal outcome from the course this weekend; having done the reflex inhibition exercise for the spinal galant reflex I no longer have pain in the scap/ neck sitting in the car!! Magic! If it works out half as well for my patients I will be well pleased professionally. Thank you!

As of patients - having a ball with these retained reflexes. One patient at the age of 64 reports hitting the golf ball further than he ever has in his life (that is if he does his reflex exercises just before golf). If he doesn't, tight QL on the right leading to poor backswing turn. Makes sense as to why it took us so long to teach him how to do a pelvic tilt as well!
The coolest patient I have had was a lady in her 50's who has had RSI/OOS for 15 years! She is left-handed and can hardly write - in fact I had to fill in her consent form for her and her signature was barely legible. She works fulltime and drives around the country. Anyhow, after running the SFMA and the reflex testing I got her to print her name on a page (and I took video of it). She mentioned that she had been practicing holding the pen in an "adult grip" for a couple of months (frogs legs) as before this it was a "toddler grip." She gets 4 letters into printing her name and the pen starts to lift off the page (she loses downward pressure so it looks like the pen is running out of ink) she then stalls and announces that she feels like she has had a brain injury as she just can't get the pen to go right across the page. Her head was turned left at the time so I asked her to turn her head to the right then try to keep writing - to my surprise she wrote across the rest of the page with ease!!! Turns out among other things she had a massively strong ATNR and as her left arm tries to bend further to write across the page because her head is turned to the left her left arm wants to be straight - hence the sense of blocking as she tries to write and the lifting off the page - stunning! She was gobsmacked! I thought that was freaking cool!!!
Three weeks later I come out to the waiting room and here she is copying out a recipe from one of my magazines into a notebook! She is working on a bunch of the reflexes including the grasp and Babkin also.
Another of my patients rides horses and the horse responds poorly to turning one way - always thought it was the horse until we got rid of her (the patient's) retained reflexes (principally her ATNR and Babinski) - horse much happier now and can turn both ways with ease - crazy!
Two of my patients who are junior golfers can't keep their right hand on the golf club post impact - one has a "toddler grip" on the right and wrote with a toddler grip also. The second had a "baby grip" on the right! Both can now keep their hands on the golf club with ease post impact - coaches very happy as they have been working on that problem for a couple of years!!!

Just wanted to say thank you, thank you, thank you for that weekend course because today I had a child come into my clinic with incredible primitive reflexes still present and I wondered what would I have done if I hadn't gone on your course and learnt about how to treat them, so I was buzzing and even better; I knew what I was doing !!! You're a keeper!!

Courses: Motor control & sensorimotor training for pain & injury rehab in the sacroiliac joint & pelvis

Hello Jacqui, I took the SIJ course in Wellington a few weeks ago. Your course has been one of the most helpful to my practice.

Treatments: Client testimonials for treatment of chronic pain with primitive reflex inhibition & sensorimotor training

A quick note to let you know that my son returned to the states last night. He seems to have turned the corner and the last couple of weeks has been training hard again and in much better health. Thank you for the care you gave him while he was here in New Zealand.

.Personally, I have been focusing on my retained reflexes which for the most part are going well. The knee pain is still 90% better - not getting all the random central signs like I was which is very cool. Also nice to not wake up in pain. Can even sleep in weird positions when my son climbs in our bed and just get up and not have to peel myself up off the bed and spend the morning unravelling myself. Energy levels have improved significantly. Really interesting is my speech has improved. I used to get home from work and try to read my son bedtime stories and find myself trying hard to articulate/annunciate properly - exhausting! After some grasp and some Babkin reading to him has become effortless (in comparison) - very impressed with that. Also fewer people saying "what?" to me at work!

With the belt in place I am now able to lift my leg from the accelerator to the brake whilst driving and also able to participate in simple line dancing again. Walking is so much easier. Thanks heaps.
